⭐️ Adding stars ⭐️
I use a mixture of oil paint mixed with oil paint dilutant. I cover up the areas I don’t want the paint. Then using the tip of a paint brush, tap the stars over the surface.
I also recently discovered Hania Rani thanks to my dad, and I have been listening to this song on repeat.

Living on the coast gives me endless inspiration. I’m drawn to the water. It’s colours, it’s movement. It’s power.
My newer work definitely has more of a realistic approach, but I love the simplicity of the older more abstract piece.
I stopped doing fluid art/paint pouring last year ish, sometimes I think about digging them out again.

Why did I start creating?
All of my life I’ve been creative. Art was my favourite subject at school. I’ve always loved painting, doodling, drawing etc, but it wasn’t a constant until 2015.
I started off with fluid paint pours, there was something so meditative about the process, being able to zone out and be free to express myself through colour and movement. It was time just for me. Time out from the world. A way to escape. Therapy even.
I couldn’t imagine it not being part of my life now. I have contemplated stopping a few times, but I don’t know if I ever truly could.

🔸I’ve been painting since 2015. Started with fluid art, dabbled with resin and settled on oils.
🔸I’m self taught.
🔸I’m married with three children.
🔸My art has travelled more places than I ever will.
🔸I change my hair colour more often than is healthy. It’s currently pink/purple.

It’s been on my “to-do” list for quite a while, but I am finally going to get some prints of a couple of pieces made.
I’ve recently received some sample papers, next I’ll order a couple to check the quality etc, and once I’m happy I’ll get some ordered. They will be a limited run of each design, but I’ll figure out the details closer to the time. I’m not sure exactly which pieces to choose, but definitely a seascape.

I love overcast days, especially looking out over

I love overcast days, especially looking out over Weymouth beach. The sea, the sky, the clouds all grey. With a hazy obscured sun.
✨ Other news, I finally got around to adding more shipping destinations to my website. It’s quite a long process, so I’m working at it in chunks.
I’m also looking into having giclee prints of some of my works. Maybe only a couple of different ones to begin with.

I spent the best part of the day adding many more countries to the list of places I ship to, finally! I’ve been saying ill@do it for so long.
I’ve concentrated on the smaller sizes at the moment, and over the next few days I’ll sort out the larger pieces too.
Obviously the shipping to some places is quite a lot and unfortunately I have no control over those charges.

The way the waves just come alive.
