Bio
Hello! I am a contemporary artist born in Dorset in the 80’s and I live with my family on the Jurassic coast in Weymouth, UK.
Since starting my painting journey in 2015 my art has evolved quite a few times, but reoccurring themes I particularly enjoy exploring are the contrasts between light/dark and smooth/texture. Often you will see where I have combined all of those elements to create strikingly beautiful moody pieces.
I really like to leave my work open to interpretation, letting the viewer come to their own conclusion about what they see and feel in my work.
I draw my inspiration from many sources but living on the coast influences me most of all, I especially love the sea and this theme can be seen across my works, from the colours I use to the shapes I form in my more abstract pieces.
In 2017 I took part in SAW, Somerset Art Weeks, where I exhibited my work alongside five other talented artists.
Sarah Beeny’s “Renovate don’t relocate” on RealityTV channel featured a few of my pieces in Series 1 episode 3.
The Dorset Echo, a local newspaper, did an article on Dorset’s biggest social media profiles, where I was featured among them.
In 2021 I had the great honour of having an article written about me for Dorset Live. It talks about my inspirations and gives an insight into who I am as a person.
Many of my works have found homes in the UK and world wide. USA, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, to name but a few.
Many of these have been commission pieces. If this is something that interests you, please take a look at my commissions page.
